What will we be doing during the IRF World Meeting 2009?

From the June 2 until the end of the first week of June 2009, Lisbon will host the 16^th International Road Federation World Meeting 2009. Under the motto Meeting world expectations for better roads, the World Meeting will deal with some of the most far reaching and technically updated issues having to see with road infrastructure, transport and mobility.

To that end, the World Meeting’s Program will bring together worldwide top level representations of the automotive sector, exponents of the international road building industry and high-ranking planners. The purpose is to put together an invaluable mix of social and economic foresight, factual knowledge on achievements and in-depth information on enabling technologies.

On top of that, about half of the available sessions’ time will be devoted to contributed papers, with the aim of allowing doers to show what is going on in terms of infrastructural developments, and henceforth allowing other practitioners to take advantage of that proven-by-practice knowledge.

Who should attend?

Those who are in charge of setting corporate strategies, those who work out the technical premises on which road sector policies and strategies are built, those who engineer infrastructural projects and works, those who care for and feel directly concerned with the road infrastructure as a prime factor of societal development – all will find it rewarding to attend the 16^th International Road Federation World Meeting 2009.
